Introduction
You can add an announcement widget onto your store to showcase your sales campaign or discount code.
A badge will be placed at the down bottom right corner of the store displaying a preview of the announcements. When the badge is clicked, an Announcement Bar displaying the full message will then be displayed in full:
Setting Up
To do so, first go to the Settings page:
Turn on Announcement Widget is currently displaying on your store toggle button:
- Next, select if you want to announce an existing Discount Rule or Discount Set (Discount Codes) onto the Announcement Bar:
- If Discount Rule is selected, the Announcement Bar will have a Call to Action button to bring the customers to a collection page showcasing the Discount Rule’s products:
- To setup Discount Rule based announcement widget, first you need to select the the discount rule that you wish to link with the Announcement Bar:
- If a Discount Rule have an existing Timer Design, the countdown timer along with its settings will be inserted into the Announce Bar:
- If a Discount Rule does not have a Timer, no timer will be displayed onto the Announcement Bar:
- Next, you are required to select the products you would like to showcase when customers click on the call to action button. To do so, select Browse products:
Select the products in the Discount Rules that you wish to showcase (select all if you want to showcase everything) and proceed to select Save:
The selected products will then be displayed at the menu:
- If Discount Set is selected, the Announcement Bar/pop-up will have a Call to Action button that showcases the selected discount code:
- To setup Discount Set based announcement widget, first you need to select the the discount set that you wish to link with the Announcement Bar:
- Next, you are required to select the discount code that you would like to showcase when customers click on the call to action button. To do so, select Browse Discount Codes:
Select the products in the Discount Code that you wish to showcase:
- Key in the name of these product grouping. This step is compulsory:
- Proceed to Tab Settings to configure the announcement badge. In the Tab Settings you can:
Configure the Tab Color and the Icon Color
Change the icon of the widget or upload your own (all major image format accepted):
With the widget selected, you can proceed to adjust the size of the badge that will displayed on your storefront:
- Customize the message that you wish to display:
and the text and background color:
- You can configure if you wish for the badge to be draggable by the customers:
If Yes is selected:
If No is selected, the badge will stay default at the bottom right position.
- Next, configure the Announcement Bar by selecting if you wish it to appear as a bar at the bottom of the store or a square pop-up.
- When Bar is selected, an announcement bar will be displayed at the bottom of the store when the badge is selected:
- When Square is selected, a square pop-up will be displayed at the center of the store.
- Proceed to configure the announcement box/bar’s colors, opacity and size:
You can also adjust the pattern motifs and its colors:
- Configure the text, font size and style of the Announcement bar/square for the Hero, Micro and Call to Action button:
- At any point of time, you can preview how the announcement bar or the badge will look like on your store by selecting the Preview button.
- Once you are satisfied with the settings, select the Save button to proceed.
